Initiative

IDIS has been active for a number of years in the Dutch and international design industry: as a recruiter of high-quality design professionals for design agencies and internal design and communication departments, as a mediator between demand and supply in the market of projects and temping jobs and as initiator of IDIS Business Exchange. Working within the design industry we have run into all kinds of conflicts and differences of opinion: between partners within one agency, between agency management and employees, between agency and clients or suppliers. All too often you encounter a situation where parties battle it out with legal action and the relationship deteriorates, but eventually - after a lot of money and energy has been spent on the legal battle - they have to settle on an acceptable compromise. This notion was the incentive for IDIS together with Marcel Speller, a certified mediator with thirty years of experience in the world of design, to take initiative and found IDIS Mediation as part of IDIS Business Support.
